Crashboat Beach

Aguadilla

One of my favorite urban beaches. Very popular with the locals, can be crowded and load, but always fun. There are two bars adjacent to the free parking lot and a nice collection of food vendors. Pinchos are always a good bet (grilled chicken, pork, or fish skewers). Crashboat is well protected and almost always has clear water. The snorkeling along the pier is very good but be aware that people jump off the pier into the water, at times oblivious to snorkelers below. The three platform at the far end of the pier collapsed due to Hurricane Maria. They are in 30 feet of water, tons of fish, usually a turtle or two, and occasionally a manta ray. Great spot for a beach dive if you have scuba gear. Visibility is normally 50+ feet.

The first parking lot you will see, on your left, costs $4. Beyond that is the free lot. While the beach is safe there is occasional petty theft, I wouldn't leave anything of value left unattended.
