Survival Beach

Aguadilla
You'd never guess that this place is less than a mile from the Aguadilla Airport if you hadn't just driven through town to get here. After parking at Surfer's Beach you'll walk through the jungle for about half a mile and pop out in an amazing spot. This place is no secret, you are bound to have some company but I'm always surprised how few people are at this beach. If you find some shade from one of the many boulders, grab it, there's not too much of it, especially later in the day. The section with boulders and reef goes on for about a quarter mile. In calm seas it's a fun place to swim and snorkel. If you keep on walking you will get to the biggest boulders of all which you can run between as the tide goes out (at least at lower tides). Beyond this spot the beach opens up to a long sandy crescent that goes on for more than a mile. This side is a fun place to swim and body surf when there are waves.
